I took some time to work on my projects. My scarf is moving right along. It's really helped to put in the stitch marker. I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere. It seems that the diamond pattern got a little smaller, now it's getting bigger again...all with no help from me!
I finished punching this little guy over a year ago. First I put it on a box, then I pulled it off. Then, I put it on some fabric, then I pulled it off. I think I finally got it right. I painted, dry brushed the black to give it an old look and then waxed the wood. I'm not too sure about the ribbon, but I have some solid, hand dyed black that I may try later. This will work for Halloween...
I think I mentioned that my hubby just had to HAVE a cat. It started as "I need a lap dog" to "a friend is losing their home and needs a place for their cat". I am not particularly a cat person, so it is ironic that Moto seems to like me better. LOL I think it's all about who gives him the most food. He is not a cuddle kitty, but will sit next to me for hours while I am stitching. I do appreciate that he doesn't crawl all over my yarn and thread.
I am off and moving. I've got one more load of laundry and then I am ready for Monday. Yay for me!! I wish each of you an amazing week. Be kind to one another.
Hmmm, dusting. That's something that I need to do as well. Urgently, lol. But there are always so many more interesting things to do, like blog reading and stitching ... lol.
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is coming along great. And what a nice little ornament you created for Halloween.
A cat that stays away from yarn - lucky you :)
Yes, very lucky! LOL He is an odd cat. He doesn't rub on me, very rarely sits on my lap, but is happy to sit for hours, just purring away about a foot from my head. LOL And don't worry, after the first 1/2 inch of dust, a little more doesn't matter. Ask me how I know. LOL
DeleteWhat a cool scarf! That pumpkin is just precious Angela. Moto is very lucky to have you all as his new family. :D He is a good lookin' guy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Every day is an adventure with this scarf. LOL Moto is not "pretty", but I think handsome is appropriate. LOL
DeleteI see your Sundays are improving imo from slothful to quiet and I can see you are quite busy actually. Love how that scarf is turning out; it actually looks like some very complicated pattern. How clever! Love your pumpkin...funny I tried one this weekend too. The little kittie looks sweet and company is always nice. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take the credit for the pattern. It is a simple knit, purl, so I have no idea how it got to this! I love pumpkins, even little punch needle ones. LOL
DeleteYour projects are looking good! You always have something going, it seems!
ReplyDeleteYou know I absolutely LOVE cats, so I definitely think you made the right choice!!!
I don't like to dust, either. Wait until you see your dust with cat hair sticking out of it! hahaha
Well, I can say that I was not too impressed when I found cat hair on my work slacks. LOL I want to finish this scarf before the end of October. So much yarn, too little time. LOL
DeleteAwww! That kitty is so cute! And it loves to sit and watch you stitch without playing with things?! That's a great kitty!
ReplyDeleteYour knitting looks great. I love the colors you chose.
I dusted last Saturday....you never know where dust will go!!
If you are worried, I have plenty of dust that I can send you. LOL
