This and That....

Good morning from the rancho.

I am on my second cup of coffee and am still waiting for the caffeine to kick in.  I didn't sleep well last night.  Between my ancient bladder and the dog and cat wanting to go outside every hour, not much rest went on.  I know that the clock says 9:30 am, but my body is saying "Oh heavens no, that can't be possibly be right".  I see a really long day in my future...

The past week has been so beautiful here.  It's been in the 70's and 80's.  This is my favorite time of year. Everything is so green and shiny.  My irises look like it is going to be a bumper year for blooms. Amazing what some rain will do!  Here is a picture of my patio cymbidium.  I've had it for a few years, but this is the first time it's bloomed for me.  LOL

I've been super busy at work.  By the time I get home, all I want to do is sit in the chair and let my mind rest.  We have my old job out to hire, so hopefully we can get someone in the next two months.

I finally finished my Brach's Candy scarf.  I've got it washed and am blocking it now.  I hope that my hubby's friend likes it....

I am off and running.  Wishing you all an amazing Sunday.  Be kind to one another.

  1. I needed an extra coffee this morning too, after the time change. I missed my extra hour of sleep. We are in a bitter cold spell. Today is a little better but yesterday the windchill was bitter. No flowers here for a long time yet. Lol

    1. Another day at over 85 degrees. Saturday was the first "flip flop" day of the season. Now, if I can just find my capris...LOL

  4. Your temperatures are perfect...how wonderful. I finally looked up Brach's candy, something new to me and understand now with the black, white and pink why your scarf is called that.Duh It is really nice btw I'm sure it will be appreciated. Oh it is wonderful to see blooms and to hear about them...all icy here still. Try not to overdo at work.

  5. I'm sure the daylight savings switch doesn't help you either. I wish they would get rid of it. Taking away an extra hour of stitching time! Horrendous! Lol

I'm sure they'll love the scarf. Your spring flowers look lovely :)

    1. Yep, she like the scarf! I felt it was a little thin, but the weather here is not that extreme. We don't get down to 0 degrees like Iowa. All the scarves I send there are extra, extra thick. LOL

  6. I am not resting like I should...I know, I know...definitely not healthy. I think that three hour "naps" are a little much. LOL

  9. Great temperatures for you, Angela. But we were also spoiled by the sun last week. Just now, over the weekend it has been raining and cold.
Great, your scarf. I'm sure your husband's friend will be very pleased with it.
