Slothful Sunday...

Good morning, Sunday peeps.  If I move any slower this morning, I will be at a complete stop.  I was busy enough yesterday doing chores and stuff, but nothing that would warrant this bone-deep tired. I've got a bit of the sniffles, so maybe I'm just feeling a cold coming on.  Or maybe I'm a sloth at heart.  LOL

So up this morning at 7:45 am.  Yep, that's almost 4 hours of sleeping in since I'm usually up at 4 am! LOL I have drank a cup of coffee, ate a tortilla with eggs, and sent a picture by email.  Oh yeah, full speed ahead, Captain!

I did work on a couple of projects yesterday.  I finished/finished my star and made it a friend.  I think that the red chenille really makes the colors pop.  I'm deciding if I need to go to Michael's and pick up a few more stars.  If I wait a month, all the Christmas stuff will be gone!

They are not quite as crooked as they look in this picture! LOL  The stars are not symmetrical, but I think it adds to the primitive look.

Then, on to my scarf.  I so want to start a new one...but NO, NO, NO...I must finish this one!  LOL You will notice a stitch marker.  It is not there for any other reason than to encourage me.  I look at this scarf and it appears that I am getting nowhere.  So, I put in the marker and at least I can tell where I started on that day.

All right, I need to get moving.  Maybe a shower is in order?  Quick sniff.  Yep, should do that today. Have a wonderful Sunday.  Smile an extra smile, give an extra hug, and be kind to one another.

  2. Lol Sounds like a productive day, shower and all :)

I love the stars! They look adorable. You are right though...go to Michael's while you can. I made the mistake of thinking they would still have fall items in their dollar section...nope, it's Christmas stuff already...ugh!

The fall season just started, right?! Consumerism, the killer of seasons everywhere!

Your scarf continues to grow. It looks lovely. The stitch marker is a great motivator.

    Have a great week :)

    1. Well, I was right. Went to Michael's, already out of stars. LOL But, there is lots of other Christmas stuff out. I did find a couple of wooden hearts, I can use those for either punch needle or cross stitch.

I was somewhat surprised. I AM getting somewhere on that scarf. Another inch yesterday...LOL

  3. Love the stars and the scarf is beautiful!
What is your day job that you get up at 4am? That is a ridiculous hour that should only come once a day and not when it's dark!!!
    Hugs :)

    1. I have learned that it comes TWICE a day! Who knew? LOL I work in the food service department of a prison. I am lucky, the AM shift starts at 4 am. Those people get up at 2 am. That is definitely not a REAL time. LOL

  4. The starts are cute. You are moving along on your crafts nicely. The scarf is so yummy looking, I can't wait to see your finish. I love how it is pooling into a diamond sort of pattern. Very nice. I hope you get to sleep in more often! Take care of yourself sweet friend. ((hugs))

    1. The ironic thing is...I will probably not be able to ever, ever replicate this pattern! The sample was a simple striped scarf. I was surprised when the colors started to "pool" As for the diamonds, who knew? I'm pretty sure that I made a mistake somewhere. LOL

  5. I know what you mean about some days, especially mornings..being that little bit harder to get going. Maybe your body is talking to you and saying take it a little slow today, or something like that.
Interesting design appearing in your scarf and your stars are sweet.
    Take care of you!

    1. Oh, my body talks to me a lot....watch where you are going, you're going to fall again...what do you mean your knees hurt? Well, that's because you are old. LOL Yep, my body does a LOT of talking!

  6. Oh my, an oncoming cold, nothing you want to have. No wonder that you were feeling so tired last Sunday. I just hope that it's better by now.
I love that scarf with the very unusual colour pattern. And the stars that you are making are so so beautiful. Very nice ornaments to hang on the tree.

    1. Thank you! Punch needle is so much faster than knitting or cross stitch. I feel like I am cheating. LOL

I am still a bit sniffy...I'm not sure if it is a cold, the weather, or the smoke that is still in the air. It was 106 degrees F today. And we are still getting smoke from fires on the coast. Sigh...
