I SLEPT IN THIS MORNING! I know, a very small fact in a really big world, but it has been months, and months, and months since I've slept in past 6:30 am. I got up at 7, yes, only 30 minutes extra, but it felt so good to not wake up to a phone, or to do Dad chores, or feed the dog, or....etc, etc, etc. I was up until 10 pm last night, hemming work pants, so was hoping to sleep in until 6. But, hubby was up early, took care of Dad, made coffee (by himself, and did a good job), and stayed in the kitchen so I wouldn't hear any noise. Isn't funny the little things that make us happy? It's gonna be a great day! LOL
To clear up the rumor that I never stitch...started by myself, thank you...here is an update on my farm. I finished the brick work, put in the date, and have added parts of a couple of animals. Now, I recognize the bird, but I'm not real clear on the other two. Maybe a dog and a cat? Hmmm...
There have been remnants of a storm coming through California the past few days. No rain, but some pretty amazing sunsets.
And my favorite pretty? Why that would be my baby boy! LOL He has been taking a week off between teaching and the start of the next semester by traveling around the east coast states. I think he hit Ohio, New York, Maine, and is now hanging in Vermont. Here is a picture of him with the New York skyline. Said he went to Brooklyn and Manhattan. I asked if he went on the subway. You always hear horror stories about the subway, so I was a little concerned about safety. He laughed...he said that it seemed to him that the New York subways were cleaner and safer than the Bart in Oakland and he had spent three years riding those!!
So I leave you with a funny I found on Pinterest. I'm not sure why this hit me as hilarious...must be my very odd sense of humor....LOL LOL LOL
Have a great weekend, be kind to one another.
hahaha! ;) You are funny Angela. I am glad you got off to an excellent start. Have a super weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hubby made breakfast, I did a little sewing, went to a farmer's market, took a nap, and then to town for lunch at Taco Bell. I am living the good life today! LOL
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had such a great Saturday; my kind of 'fun' too. Love your cross stitch; the stitches look so tiny. Do you work it in a hoop?
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Sometimes I work in hand, sometimes with q-snaps. I am finding this project easier with the q-snaps. The important part is my glasses...over the past 15 years, I've went from 1.0, to 2.0, to 2.5, and now 3.0. Sigh...I am getting old. LOL
