What do they say...the faster I go, the further behind I get? Yep, that's me!! I haven't stitched all week. I exercise on the treadmill, take my shower, and then plop my behind down on the couch and fall into that rabbit hole called "Pinterest". The funny thing is, I only look at a few quilt and craft sites, then I start searching history pins. I can spend hours going from pin to pin to pin...Why? I don't know. I've learned lots of stuff, but my project is no further along than last week. Weird how that works out. LOL
Meanwhile, I am taking a little break from housework this week. I did quite a bit on Sunday morning, but always have a few things to do during the week. I'm pretty sure that there's a load of laundry in the dryer, but I didn't put it there and I figure that if I don't look in the dryer, I do not have to claim responsibility for it. LOL I know that soon or later, it will need to be folded, but I hoping that my husband finds it first.
I spent last Saturday doing a few errands and taking myself out to lunch. Well, by some miracle, there is a fabric store RIGHT DOWN THE STREET from my favorite sandwich shop. Can you believe that? To be honest, even if I hadn't went to my favorite sandwich place, I still would have stopped at the fabric store. LOL I found a couple of fabrics in the sale section and found the perfect match at a reduced price. A total of $32 for a little over 4 yards of fabric. All 100% cotton quilting fabric. The blue is a bit unusual, but the blue in the bird perfectly matches the blue in the background of the bottom piece of fabric. Do I have a project for it? Absolutely not! LOL Who needs a project to purchase fabric?
This morning, I had a change in work schedule and didn't leave my house until 6:30 am (instead of 5 am). This was my prize:
Isn't this a beautiful sunrise?
And so I close with a final picture. This was the sunset outside my back door a few nights ago:
Be kind to one another.
I don't need to have a project in mind for buying quilting fabric either. Sales prices are motivation enough, lol.
